Urgent recalls have been issued for two of the UK's most popular supermarkets. Budget favourites Aldi and Lidl have both had products pulled from the shelves in recent days. ‌

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) often makes shoppers aware of certain product recalls. This could be due to multiple reasons that make them "unsafe to eat." ‌

Over the weekend, the food safety watchdog has issued a couple of UK-wide alerts that Aldi and Lidl shoppers will need to be aware of, with bakery items and sweet treats affected. ‌

On Saturday, October 18, Aldi issued a major recall for a six-pack of its PYB02 PANATAS Part-Baked Custard Tarts as they were found to contain multiple undeclared ingredients, posing a major health risk to certain consumers.
