Violent domestic incident sends woman to hospital

POUGHKEEPSIE – An early morning stabbing on Monday is under investigation by Poughkeepsie City Police.

Initial reports from the scene indicate that a domestic dispute inside of a car and carried over inside an apartment at 23 Harrison Street resulted in a 36-year-old woman being stabbed multiple times.

Crime scene technicians were rushed to the scene to collect and preserve evidence.

The woman was transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
