The call for Prince Andrew to have his “Prince” title removed is growing – but can it actually be done? Although the late-Queen’s third born has not been a working royal since 2019 and no longer appeared at royal events in an official capacity, on Friday it was announced that he had been stripped of his titles, and will no longer be the Duke of York. ‌

The former duke will also give up his membership of the Order of the Garter, but remains a prince, after his brother reached a “tipping point” over Andrew’s many scandals. ‌
