The Amazon Web Services outage could create a huge “payment dispute time bomb, ” an expert has warned. AWS's web-based status monitor has been flagging an "operational issue" hitting "multiple services". "We can confirm significant error rates for requests made to the DynamoDB endpoint in the US-EAST-1 Region", it reports. ‌

The chaos started earlier this morning, around 7.30am, when seemingly half the internet went down due to so many popular sites and apps relying on Amazon's web services. ‌
