Alan Pardew is starting to wonder if Alexander Isak's move is going to turn out like Fernando Torres' to Chelsea.

The Swedish striker is yet to score a Premier League goal since his £125million move from Newcastle United on transfer deadline day.

Isak refused to take part in any of the Toon's pre-season or first three Premier League games.

This was in an effort to force through a transfer to Anfield, but he has been short of match fitness since.

However, in his pre-match press conference, Arne Slot confirmed that he now thinks Isak is fully fit and ready to start impacting matches.
