Floral tributes have been left for a motorcyclist who died after hitting a wall.

The rider, who has been named locally as Austin, passed away in the early hours of yesterday morning (October 20) in Walderslade Road, Chatham .

Bunches of flowers, handwritten notes and a palm leaf cross have since been left and tied to a gate at the end of a driveway near where the crash happened.

One said: “Loved you always. You will be missed so much.”

Another added: “In memory of Austin. God bless.”

Residents of Walderslade Road, Graham and Barbara Hatton, have also paid tribute and passed on their condolences to the man’s family.

Graham told KentOnline: “He was a mature man in his 40s on his way to work. It is just so sad.

“He was a good guy and a family man. It is one of those tragedies.”
