A woman has been arrested and a dog, thought to be an XL bully, has been seized after a child was bitten.
Police and paramedics were called to Mayfield Avenue in Dover at 5.20pm on Sunday.
The child was taken to a local hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.
Officers seized the animal, which is believed to be a banned XL bully, and arrested a woman.
A police spokeswoman said: “We were called at 5.20pm on Sunday to a report that a child had been bitten by a dog in Mayfield Avenue, Dover.
“Patrols attended the scene alongside paramedics, where the child was taken to a local hospital for medical attention.
“The dog was seized by officers from a residential property. A woman in her 20s was later arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody.”
