Loose Women star Gloria Hunniford dedicated her "hero" award to daughter Caron, who died in 2004 from breast cancer.

Gloria Hunniford received the editor's prize at the Best Heroes awards at the Waldorf Hotel in London as a nod to the work she's done over the years for her work in raising awareness and funds for cancer charities.

Her daughter, Caron, died in 2004 from breast cancer after first being diagnosed back in 1997.

On Monday's (October 20) instalment of Loose Women, Gloria posed on the panel with her new award, as Jane Moore, Brenda Edwards and Janet Street-Porter congratulated her.

Speaking about the award, Gloria shared: "I was particularly humbled with this one because it says heroes. I don't regard myself as a hero for what I'm doing.
