CARTHAGE, New York (WWNY) - The Carthage Police Department arrested a Watertown man on October 19th, after allegedly tackling a woman into a wall and choking her at a North Clinton Street residence in the Village.
According to the Carthage Police Department, Lawrence Ottman IV was arrested and charged after he allegedly pushed a woman, then tackled her, causing her to strike her head against a wall, and put a hole in the wall. Ottman then allegedly placed his hands around the victim’s neck holding her down and choking her.
Lawrence Ottman IV, 41, of Watertown was charged with;
One count of Criminal Obstructing of Breathing, a class A misdemeanor
One count of Criminal Mischief 4th degree, a class A misdemeanor
One count of Harassment in second degree, a violation
Ottman was arraigned
