CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) - A large police presence is being reported on the 500 block of East Jackson Street in Carbondale.

This is approximately 2 blocks south of Attucks Park.

Carbondale Police sent out an alert to notify the public of officers in this area around 11 a.m. on Monday, October 20.

Police said ther is no known danger to the public.

They are urging everyon to avoid the area.
