WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - A St. Lawrence County man, accused of disrupting the “No Kings” rally in Potsdam over the weekend, has been charged with 20 offenses.

Village police said 19-year-old Gage Chapman of Colton was driving with a suspended license when he used his vehicle to object to the protest.

More than 1,000 people were protesting on Main Street on Saturday afternoon when Chapman allegedly squealed the vehicle tires, creating smoke and disrupting the rally.

He was charged with the following offenses:

2 counts of third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle

2 counts of disorderly conduct, unreasonable noise

2 counts of disorderly conduct, obstruct vehicular/pedestrian traffic

2 counts of disorderly conduct, disrupting a lawful assembly
