AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Officials are investigating the cause of a house fire near SW 13th Avenue early Saturday morning.
The Amarillo Fire Department responded to a reported residential structure fire at 1102 SW 13th Ave. at approximately 7:09 a.m., on Saturday, Oct. 18.
AFD says first-arriving units reported smoke showing from a single-story wood-frame home with the occupants safely outside.
Command was established, and crews initiated a coordinated fire attack while conducting primary and secondary searches to ensure no one remained inside.
Firefighters confirmed that the structure was energized by live electricity and Xcel Energy was requested to disconnect power.
Officials say the fire was brought under control by 8:40 a.m.
