Utah quarterback Devon Dampier’s status could be up in the air for this weekend’s game against Colorado.

Dampier appeared to be dealing with a leg injury in the third quarter of Utah’s loss to BYU . Utah coach Kyle Whittingham said the junior got “beat up” during the contest. The injury clearly limited his mobility as the game went on, which forced offensive coordinator Jason Beck to play freshman quarterback Byrd Ficklin on designed runs.

Ficklin could have a chance to be the starter this week with Dampier ailing from an injury.
