TYLER, Texas — A longtime Tyler nonprofit showed off their new location Friday morning.

The East Texas Center for Independent Living cut the ribbon at their new location in the Energy Center on W. Front Street in Tyler. For more than 20 years, ETCIL has provided services to people with disabilities to be included in the community.

"We offer independent living skills training, so if someone needs to learn something to help them live on their own, we can offer that specialized training for them," Amy Evans-Gean, the ETCIL executive director, said. "We also provide peer support, we provide advocacy, and then we also provide licensed professional counseling, some other services focused on community inclusion."
