LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Four days after announcing an environmental investigation, Laredo city leaders are expected to reveal new details tonight about oil allegedly dumped into the city’s sewer system.

Today KGNS reached out to TCEQ and the city for updates. While the TCEQ says they have no new information, the investigation continues.

The city stands by its previous statement. On Friday, Mayor Dr. Victor Trevino issued an advisory declaration due to the violations’ environmental impact.

Since then a judge granted a temporary restraining order against the business owner. The city won’t comment on specific parties or allegations, they only confirm someone illegally tapped the sewer line.
