INDIANAPOLIS – Samson Ebukam apparently avoided a long-term knee injury, but one of the Indianapolis Colts’ edge pass rushers is expected to miss an undetermined amount of time.

According to a source with knowledge of the situation, the initial diagnosis of the knee injury Ebukam sustained in Sunday’s 38-24 win over the Los Angeles Chargers didn’t reveal damage that would keep him out for an extended time.

Ebukam, who missed the 2024 season with a torn Achilles, suffered an injury to the medial collateral ligament (MCL) in a knee, according to ESPN. He is expected to seek a second medical opinion.

Ebukam has 14 tackles, 2 sacks and seven quarterback hits as the Colts have gotten off to an NFL-best 6-1 start.
