RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Wake County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a teenager was shot.
Deputies responded around 1 p.m. on Monday to the 4200 block of Ruby Drive near Raleigh.
They found a juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
Deputies remained at the scene investigating the circumstances until past 5:30 p.m. There was no known threat to the community, the sheriff's office said.
