NORWALK, Ohio (WJW) - Norwalk police said a female employee was violently attacked by a guest just days after he checked in.

That guest, 33-year-old Eric Carroll, is now back in prison, facing multiple felony charges including attempted kidnapping.

The violent attacked happened just after 3 p.m. Saturday at the Econo Lodge on Milan Avenue in Norwalk.

The hotel manager called 911 after a housekeeping employee ran to him, saying "there was violence" before disappearing in fear.

“Our officers responded and spoke with other guests at the hotel and learned that a struggle had occurred in the room," said detective sergeant Scott Hamernik with Norwalk police.

Hotel guests also reported seeing a man flee from the same room.
