CO Troy Fondie (Orr) reports no youth hunters were seen for the youth deer hunt. Small-game hunting from an ATV was popular. Few grouse were observed harvested and numbers appear down considerably from last year. Duck hunters had mixed results.

CO Sean Cannon (Cook) investigated illegal decorative materials harvesting, and monitored anglers, ATV activity, waterfowl hunters, grouse hunters and the youth deer hunt. Many people were out enjoying the fall weather. Enforcement activity included theft/illegal harvest of decorative materials and shooting from a vehicle.

CO Marc Johnson (Hibbing) reports lack of ducks and grouse continued to frustrate hunters.
