Seven siblings under the age of 9 are safe after deputies found them Monday morning in Kitsap County, about eight hours after they disappeared from the scene of a stabbing in Clallam County, officials said.
Kitsap County sheriff’s deputies found the siblings and their parents about 5 a.m., and placed the children in protective custody. The youngest is 6 months old, according to a statement Monday by the Clallam County sheriff’s office.
Deputies arrested the parents and booked them into the Kitsap County Jail on charges of reckless endangerment constituting domestic violence and possession of a stolen vehicle, jail records show.
Representatives for Clallam and Kitsap counties’ sheriff’s offices did not immediately respond to inquiries Monday.
