ST. LANDRY PARISH, La. (KLFY) -- Residents of Carrington Place in St. Landry Parish can expect road repairs soon, as the parish has adjudicated portions of the road, allowing for much-needed improvements.

The road conditions on Carrington Place have been a significant issue, causing damage to vehicles and hindering emergency services. Parish President Jessie Bellard announced that the road is now under parish jurisdiction, enabling repairs to address these problems.

"The road itself was never on the tax roll," said Bellard. "Therefore, it just becomes part of adjudication through the adjudicated property process."
