FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man is wanted after police say he stole several items from a Fresno Dollar Tree and assaulted the store's security guard.

On Oct. 10, at around 8 p.m., police say the man pictured below visited the Dollar Tree at 1501 North First Street.

He grabbed several items before going to the self checkout where officers say he waited a few seconds and before trying to walk out of the store without paying for the items.

Before making his way out, police say the store's security officer confronted him - that's when the fight broke out.

The suspect eventually agreed to leave the items, but, before the security officer was able to remove everything from his backpack, police say the suspect grabbed it and ran out of the store.
