BUFFALO, N.Y. — Amazon Web Services (AWS), a major cloud hosting provider that powers much of the internet, suffered multiple outages Monday , disrupting hundreds of popular websites and services worldwide. The first outage began around 3 a.m. Eastern, affecting major sites including Amazon, Venmo, Hulu, Snapchat, Ring, Roblox, Slack, Fortnite, and Microsoft 365. AWS confirmed the issue stemmed from network connectivity problems in its US-EAST-1 region.
A second disruption struck around 10:30 a.m., causing Adobe and Amazon’s own services to become completely unreachable. By noon, some services, including Amazon.com, were back online, though others, like Amazon Music, remained down.
