My Kitchen Rules’ most controversial team, Michael and Rielli, were eliminated from the competition on Monday night, after the cook-off came down to a single point.

The opinionated couple from Queensland battled it out against Danielle and Marko from Perth, WA, landing a final score of 21 against the winning team’s 22.

The pressure was intense as they competed with mains and desserts designed to impress not only judges Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge but also the remaining safe teams.

Michael entered the kitchen with confidence, declaring he was “not intimidated”.

Their ambitious pork banquet was hit by a series of setbacks but despite the one point-loss, the outspoken contestant stands by his dish.

“We didn’t have a strategy going into the competition,” Michael told 7NEWS.com.au.
