First of all, Jennifer Caudill’s headline is purposefully misleading. Nevada’s wild horses are not one sentence away from “mass” euthanasia.

She tells us that there is a single sentence in the Interior-Environment appropriations bill that will result in the mass euthanasia of tens of thousands of wild horses, killed on the taxpayer’s dime. That’s a pretty damning comment. Yet she never tells us what that single sentence is. Perhaps that’s because the actual wording is simply a reasonable request to restore content removed from the original version of the Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act of 1971.
