SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A bookstore in San Francisco's Noe Valley neighborhood has been targeted with transphobic messages. According to signage posted outside the bookstore, an unknown individual has been placing transphobic stickers and pamphlets inside Noe Valley Books.

The stickers and pamphlets were placed inside an unspecified number of books inside the store.

"We take this very seriously and are looking for the person responsible. Transphobia or hate of any kind is not acceptable here," Noe Valley Books wrote in part of a letter posted on its front window. "If you see any of these stickers or pamphlets, please let us know immediately."
