WELLS COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA) - Three minors were arrested Monday in Wells County after a “high-speed chase” involving an SUV stolen out of Ohio.

The Wells County Sheriff’s Department was contacted by investigators from Hocking County, Ohio, which is about three and a half hours away, on Monday after the stolen SUV went past a Flock camera .

The vehicle was quickly located, but the agency says that when a traffic stop was attempted, the occupants refused to stop. A high-speed chase ensued and was only stopped when the SUV drove north through Bluffton and east on US 224 into Adams County, hitting stop sticks deployed by deputies from Adams County.

That’s when the three juveniles, who had arrest warrants out of Ohio, were taken into custody.
