MINNEAPOLIS — The city of Minneapolis has joined a lawsuit with other cities over federal emergency and disaster preparedness funds.

In a news release, the city said the Trump administration is making them agree to certain conditons before getting funds, which would "force local governments to adopt the administration’s political agenda or risk losing critical funding."

According to the city, they receive grants from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Managmeent Agency, which funds the majority of positions at the city's emergency management department.
