REDWATER, Texas – Redwater ISD kicked off homecoming week with a parade and chili cookoff, an unearthing of a 1999-2000 time capsule and a car smash on Monday evening.

One of Redwater’s homecoming traditions is smashing an old car each year donated by U Auto Pull It Auto Parts and Wright's Auto Body & Glass. The tradition is all in good fun and lets the students show their Dragon smash school spirit.

This year the students unearthed the 1999-2000 Jr. High school time capsule where the graduating class of 2004 students from that class were invited to revel in its history.
