A Richmond County sheriff’s deputy was arrested and fired today after investigators say she broke the law while wearing the badge.
Deputy Diana Santiago, who has been with the sheriff’s office since May 2020, now faces three felony charges including gang activity and drug conspiracy. She was booked into the local jail after being questioned and terminated.
What’s Happening: Santiago was brought in for questioning around 3:45 p.m. today by the Criminal Investigations Division. The charges against her include:
