KIMBERLY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — One of the men facing charges in connection with a fatal shooting in Kimberly this past June appeared in court on Monday, pleading not guilty to several charges.

Daniel Wise entered a not guilty plea to charges of voluntary manslaughter, unlawful possession of a firearm, and destruction and/or concealment of evidence.

The deadly incident occurred at the Friendly Village Mobile Home Park in Kimberly, where investigators say a fight escalated into a shooting that claimed the life of Chris Dequintanaroo.

Following the shooting, authorities arrested both Daniel Wise and Andrew Snyder Thorstad.

Wise is scheduled to return to court in February for a pre-trial hearing, with his trial slated to begin on March 10.
