Many came together in Montreal on Monday night to mark over two years since the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel, when 12-hundred people were killed and 251 taken hostage.
The tribute organized by Federation CJA honoured the courage of those who gave their lives to save others and reflecting the spirit of Jewish heroism. Montrealer Alexandre Look is one of them.
He was one of the 370 people killed that day during a music festival in Southern Israel. Using his body as a shield to save others, it is said that Look helped save eight people.
