CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WSMV) - A former Williamson County deputy has pleaded guilty to child porn charges in Chattanooga, according to a plea agreement filed on Oct. 16.

In an undercover FBI investigation, a special agent posed as a 14-year-old girl.

The plea agreement states that Joseph Slabaugh used the app “Kik” in an attempt to “to elicit sexually explicit images” from the undercover agent in June.

The document shows that Slabaugh was a deputy at the time of the incident.

The former deputy faces up to ten years in prison, a fine of $250,000 and he must register as a sex offender.
