An icy visitor to our part of the solar system is visible above the horizon this week after sunset. Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) is between the Big Dipper and bright star Arcturus.
To spot Comet Lemmon, look to the northwestern beginning about 30 minutes after sunset, follow the handle of the dipper down and to the left to the bright star Arcturus. It is about 30º away, or the width of your outstretched hand, thumb to pinky.
