CHAMPLIN, Minn. — The transcript from Hope Hoffman's call to the Hennepin County Sheriff's Dispatch center was released, providing more details about the moments after her parents, Sen. John Hoffman and Yvette Hoffman, were shot on June 14 in their Champlin home.

During the call, Hope went into details about a man who was pretending to be an officer, ringing the doorbell numerous times and knocking.

"Then we realized it was a mask once it was too late and they opened the door," she said, according to the transcript.

She went on to tell dispatch that the man told them to come down with their hands up.

"I knew we shouldn't have answered the door," she told dispatchers.
