DUBOIS CO., Ind. (WFIE) - DC Multisport hosted their annual ‘Howl at the Moon Hike’ Monday evening.
Hikers of all experience levels met at Ferdinand State Forest’s South Ridge Trailhead, where hot chocolate, snacks, and games were waiting for them before their hikes.
Trail guides split the hikers up into two groups: one longer, more advanced hike and one shorter hike that stayed along the road.
Organizers say it’s a great way to give back to the community and enjoy nature.
“I always love sharing my love of hiking with others in the community and getting them to come join our hiking community. It’s always a great time to go and have that experience together and meet new people and meet your neighbors that maybe you haven’t met before and hopefully come out and do it on your own,” said H
