PERRYTON, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Perryton Fire Department hosted a special ceremony Monday with it honoring the one year anniversary of the death of Perryton Assistant Fire Chief Scott Glass.

That ceremony not only paid respect to Glass, but other first responders who lost their lives in the line of duty as during that ceremony was the unveiling of a local marker honoring him along with other first responders from the community who have died in the line of duty.

"We want to make sure we honor the memory of our fallen heroes and the one year anniversary of Chief Glass's death happen to be today and they have finished the memorial marker, they did inscribe his name on it when they redid it," said Perryton Fire Chief Paul Dutcher.
