TYLER, Texas — A quiet Saturday night turned frightening for residents on Lindsey Lane after a suspected drunk driver slammed into multiple parked vehicles.

Doorbell camera footage captured the aftermath of the crash, which happened just after 11 p.m., showing several damaged cars and debris scattered across the street.

“I fell asleep, and then like 10 minutes later, I just heard a loud noise,” said Fidel Gomez, who lives on Lindsey Lane.

Gomez says the driver tried to flee but didn’t get far.

“He was trying to run away, but his tire fell out,” he said.

According to arrest documents, the driver was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated — for the second time.
