For the last five years, Tom Thibodeau was the voice on the sideline for the New York Knicks. Well respected in the coaching circles, he is known for his old-school approach and a firm attitude inside the locker room. For instance, his former player, Joakim Noah, revealed how coach Thibs ruined their trip to Brazil by making them practice too hard.

It’s quite surprising that the Knicks, despite their ascension in their conference, fired Thibodeau this offseason. The team promptly replaced him with Mike Brown. As for now, the 67-year-old fiery mentor is a free agent coach. He has yet to latch on to another job. Recently, he’s been spotted within the Boston Celtics’ facility with an unspecified role.
