WALLER COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) - Crews are working to clean up a train derailment in Waller County.

Business 290 westbound at FM 362 and Business 290 eastbound at James Muse will be shut down for an extended period of time for Union Pacific Police and roadway cleanup following the derailment, according to the Waller County Sheriff’s Office.

17 cars derailed on Monday afternoon in an area between Prairie View and the city of Waller.

No injuries were reported.
