Results from a pioneering civic election that’s been a baptism of fire for political parties are trickling in from balloting stations Monday night, where voters’ patience was often challenged by lengthy waits.

With just 19 of 380 voting opportunities reporting at about 9:30 p.m., Jeromy Farkas grabbed an early lead in the mayor’s sweepstakes with Ward 1 Coun. Sonya Sharp in second place followed by incumbent Jyoti Gondek and then Jeff Davison.
