CHANDLER, AZ (AZFamily) — A father’s heartbreak has become a rallying cry for change in the wake of a tragic shooting that claimed the life of 19-year-old Daniel Sublasky in Chandler.
What began as just another morning for Roy Sablowski and his family on Oct. 11 turned into a nightmare.
“He’s not coming home,” Sablowski said. “We wake up in the morning, check the room, is he home? No. He’s not coming home.”
Sublasky was found shot at an apartment complex near McQueen and Warner roads. He died at the hospital. Police reports reveal that alongside his body were 9mm shell casings and a gallon-sized Ziploc bag filled with marijuana.
Two 19-year-olds, Mateo Bynum and TanuTamani Richards, both known to Sublasky and former classmates, have been named as suspects in the case.
