Police have been called to the Darwin court precinct where Jacinta Nampijinpa Price is facing a defamation trial after a man who had previously been accused of stalking the Liberal Senator entered the court room.

Senator Price’s counsel Peter Gray told the court just before the lunch adjournment he had been passed a note raising concerns about an issue.

Four police officers could then be seen talking to a member of Senator Price’s staff in the court’s foyer.

It is understood Senator Price’s team had raised concerns about the man, who had previously been accused of threatening and harassing the Senator.

Police would not comment as they left the court precinct, directing inquiries to the police media unit.
