Two Kent Pizza Hut restaurants are set to shut after a franchisee went into administration.
DC London Pie appointed administrators yesterday, less than a year after saving the chain’s restaurants from insolvency.
It has left 68 restaurants on the chopping block, leaving 1,210 staff at risk of redundancy.
Among those set to close are two Kent sites - Dockside in Chatham and Thanet Retail Park in Westwood, Broadstairs.
The Ashford and Bluewater restaurants will be saved as part of a buyout deal involving American hospitality giant Yum! Brands, which owns the global Pizza Hut business.
It has now bought the UK dine-in operation in a pre-pack administration deal. The rescue deal will save 64 sites and secure the future of 1,277 workers.
