SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Port Wentworth is celebrating a major milestone in one of the biggest investments in the city's history on Tuesday. The final beam is going up at the Ghost Pirates' new practice facility and entertainment complex.

It's been just over a year since the Ghost Pirates broke ground on what's now one of Port Wentworth's biggest investments. That is a $30 million ice and entertainment complex. Now, the finish line is starting to come into view.

Tuesday afternoon, dozens will gather at the construction site to celebrate the milestone for the Port Wentworth Amphitheater and Ghost Pirates Ice Cove. The event will feature city leaders, project developers, and even some players from the Ghost Pirates. Those in attendance will be able to see the final beam raised.
