CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston Police Department is gearing up for a spooktacular, family-friendly event.

The agency’s annual ‘Halloween Howl’ will take place on Thursday, Oct. 23, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at its Lockwood Boulevard headquarters.

Police officials said the event promises an evening of live music, food, prizes, costumes, and plenty of candy.

Attendees can even help decide which patrol car is the best decorated.

The event is free and open to all ages. People are encouraged to come in costume and bring their “spooky spirit.”
