AKRON, Ohio – Vaccaro’s Trattoria in Akron is hosting a special dinner featuring Robert Biale Vineyards of California’s Napa Valley.

The Biale story reaches back to the 1940s when 14-year-old Aldo Biale began making Zinfandel at his family ranch, delivering clandestine jugs of “Black Chicken” Zin. Customers used to call on an old party line, which allowed multiple people to listen in, so the code was used. The winery remains family-run.

The dinner is 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22.
