BRUNSWICK, Ohio --- Voters in Brunswick Nov. 4 will decide on 11 proposed amendments to the city charter suggested by the most recent charter review commission.

The city charter requires a charter review commission made up of persons “not holding any other municipal office or appointment” to be appointed by the mayor every five years to propose “alterations, revisions, or amendments to the charter at the general election.”

The suggested amendments, with explanations from City Manager Carl DeForest are as follows:

“This amendment would have the vice mayor/president of council serving as mayor temporarily, and retaining all powers and responsibilities of council president, until such time as city council were to fill such vacancy,” DeForest said. “Presently, the council president/vice may
