CLEVELAND, Ohio — Two men were injured Monday night in a shooting that also damaged at least three homes with gunfire in East Akron, police say.

Akron police officers responded to the intersection of Seiberling Street and Canadian Avenue about 9 p.m. and found a 21-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his leg and shoulder.

Officers provided aid until paramedics arrived. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A second victim, a 31-year-old man, was grazed by a bullet while sitting on a couch inside a residence in the 600 block of Seiberling Street, police said. Paramedics treated him at the scene.

At least three homes were struck by gunfire during the incident, police said. Officers recovered rifle and pistol rounds from the area.
