A woman jailed after twice stabbing her ex-husband has appeared back in court after breaching a ban on contacting him.

Olive Ripley knifed George Sherbourne in the chest and back in the kitchen of their caravan in 2017 and told him: “I want you to die, you b*****d.”

He pleaded with her to take him to the hospital, but she responded: “No, I am going to take you home to die.”

A neighbour eventually took the 70-year-old victim to Sittingbourne for medical treatment and he was transferred to a London hospital with life-threatening injuries, including two punctured lungs.

Ripley, who was then 61, was jailed for six years in February 2018 after admitting causing grievous bodily harm with intent and theft after taking £400 from his wallet.
